General terms and conditions of sale and use

1. Purpose
These terms govern the use of the Rent a BFF platform, published by RS TRANSPORTEUR, a simplified joint-stock company (société par actions simplifiée, SIREN 130 986 185), 2 rue du Pilon du Roi, 13127 Vitrolles. Rent a BFF connects private individuals (the members) with people who offer friendly company charged by the hour (the BFFs).
2. Strictly friendly nature of meetups
The meetups offered on Rent a BFF are exclusively friendly and platonic: company, conversation, accompanying someone on an outing or an activity. Any request for or provision of a sexual or romantic service is strictly prohibited and leads to immediate and permanent exclusion, without refund, and where appropriate a report to the authorities.
3. Registration
Registration is free and reserved for adults. Users guarantee that the information they provide is accurate. The email address of new accounts is confirmed.
Only BFFs go through an identity check: an ID document and a selfie, reviewed by hand before the profile is published. These documents are deleted 3 days after the decision. Members do not go through an identity check.
4. Request, acceptance and payment
The member sends a request to a BFF stating the activity, date, time, place and duration. The BFF accepts or declines. If the BFF does not reply within 48 hours, the request is cancelled automatically and nothing is paid.
Once the request is accepted, the member pays the Rent a BFF booking fee online, equal to 15% of the BFF's rate multiplied by the duration, through our payment provider Mollie. This payment confirms the meetup. Example: for 2 hours with a BFF at €25/h, the member pays €7.50 in fees online. The amounts are shown before payment.
The BFF's rate (€25/h × 2 h = €50 in the example) is paid by the member directly to the BFF, during the meetup, by the means agreed between them. Rent a BFF does not collect this sum and plays no part in this payment.
5. Cancellation and refund
The member can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before the meetup, from their account: the booking fee paid online is then refunded in full. After this deadline, it is not refunded automatically: the member can write via the contact page and their request is examined case by case. If the BFF cancels or does not show up, the booking fee is refunded in full.
6. Right of withdrawal
For a service bought online, the law in principle provides a 14-day withdrawal period. On Rent a BFF, you can in any case cancel free of charge, with a full refund of the booking fee, up to 24 hours before the meetup.
If you request a meetup scheduled before the end of this 14-day period, you are asking for the service to be performed before the end of the withdrawal period (article L221-25 of the French Consumer Code, Code de la consommation). Once the meetup has been fully completed, you can no longer withdraw.
7. Ranking of profiles
Only BFFs whose identity has been verified appear in the results. By default, profiles are shown in “Relevance” order: first by the average rating left by members (for BFFs who have already received reviews), then from the most recent profile to the oldest. You can also sort by price or by rating. No BFF pays to be ranked higher.
8. Users' obligations
Users agree to behave with respect and courtesy, to follow the code of conduct and to always meet in a public place. The “Share my meetup” button lets you notify someone close to you. Any inappropriate behaviour can be reported: every report is read by the Rent a BFF team, which can then review the messages exchanged and suspend the account concerned.
9. Status of BFFs and tax obligations
BFFs are private individuals or independent self-employed workers (auto-entrepreneurs). They are neither employees, nor agents, nor representatives of Rent a BFF. Each BFF is responsible for the meetups they offer and must declare the income they receive.
With each payment, Rent a BFF informs the BFF of their tax and social security obligations, with links to impots.gouv.fr and urssaf.fr. Each year, Rent a BFF sends the tax authorities the income received by each BFF through the platform (the European obligation known as “DAC7”) and sends the BFF a copy.
10. Role and liability of Rent a BFF
Rent a BFF is an intermediary: the platform connects members and BFFs, but is not a party to the contract concluded between them and does not take part in the meetups.
Rent a BFF is responsible for what falls within its role: the proper functioning of the site, the identity check of BFFs as described above, the processing of payments and refunds, and the handling of reports. Rent a BFF is not responsible for users' behaviour during meetups, unless it is at fault. These terms do not remove any of the rights that the law grants to consumers.
Rent a BFF does not provide insurance for meetups. Each user may, if they wish, take out their own cover.
11. Complaints
For any complaint, write to us via the contact page. We reply within 7 days.
12. Applicable law
These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, if you are a consumer, you can bring the matter before the court of the place where you live.
